CAN FOSTER

A founding member of the Gorilla Knitting Crew, Can Foster and her family are known throughout Sacramento for their innovative arts installations and educational arts experiences.  A Sol volunteer and advisory board member since 2010, Can is an artist, educator, and community organizer with a proven passion for accessibility and representation. Can works alongside youth and community members to curate and support impactful community programs including Sol Collective’s Youth Pop-Ups, labs, and workshops. Can holds an AS in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Ethnic Studies and an Urban Farmer Certification through the Sac Urban Ag Coalition.
